How every toy store was unique, every single one had something special. These days there are only chains that pretty much have the exact same stuff. I am so glad I didn't grow up with such lack of diversity.
And it's not just toy stores either.

David Lynch's adaptation of Dune, now considered a cult film because of how much of the book was not included in the movie.

A new adaptation of Dune is in development at Universal Pictures with director Denis Villenueve (Blade Runner 2049, Arrival, Prisoners) at the helm.
