I would concur. One of the most shocking conversations i had with them was regarding Autism and Aspergers employment and whether there was any positive discrimination within the NAS supply chains to empower folks with ASD to provide services if they were able to provide comparable or superior outcomes. I was passed around a bit and it turned out there wasn't and they weren't even open to the idea of creating provision to do so.
What i am observing is that the whole ASD support thing is a money making scheme for NTs without a true strategy of making positive impacts on the lives of people who actually endure this 'thing', sure a select group are helped but these are, it seems to me, to be kinda sock puppets to give the facade of giving a f**k.
They had National autistic society ( prospects ) between around 1998 and 2013, it was government funded , had offices in London , Cardiff , Manchester, Glasgow .
Once the great financial crisis hit and less good results driven , shut down offices .
Few people achieved, meaningful employment.
They do not listen.
I live in the Home Counties , could bot access funding for their work preparation course , other barriers too far away , too costly , had late undiagnosed dyspraxia, ADHD ( aged 41, 2020).
However , they did great work parents of children and some children.
