My boss said this to me today when I couldn't remember my own phone number - because there are numbers in it.
Apparently she had heard about different light frequencies helping dyslexic people who did with words one of the things I do with numbers (transposition).
It hadn't actually occurred to me before, because I am not dyslexic at all.
But they do say dyslexia and dyscalculia are related. Anyone had any experience with Irlen interventions and dyscalculia? Or read / heard anything about this being effective in learning problems with both? I know it helps with dyslexia, but dyslexia is probably more common (or at least more out there) than dyscalculia.
I would love to be able to do math. I've always been really interested in it, and wanted to learn - was tutored privately all through school - but it's just pointless. I can't understand and it makes me feel stupid.
Definitely felt like a dumbarse unable to recall my phone number.
