I keep hearing people complain about these "mind games" that others play on them. What are they, and how does one see through them? Could I possibly be playing them without knowing?
I have another question that I don't want to make a separate thread for. How can I find out why people don't like me? Nobody except my brother has given me a straight, brutally honest answer to that, but he's diagnosed with ADD so I'm not sure how his thought processes line up with other people's. Are my friends maybe afraid of hurting my feelings? Perhaps they don't understand that you can't hurt what doesn't exist (humor).

"Mistake by the Lake" eh?
Howdy neighbor! I live close to you. :)

As for mind games, methinks it refers to manipulation.
I think you'd know if you were doing it.

As for why people may or may not like you,
I have no clue.

About mind games, people see it in different perspective. Actually, no one can assess a person's thoughts unless one becomes really close. Others are sensitive and kind but its sad to know that people that are insensitive to other's feelings still exist.

People often prefer to associate with those that can help them advance socially or professionally.

Often people like us don't have that to offer. Sad fact of life in my observations.

When it comes to romantic relationships mind-games are when someone doesn't say what they really mean like they use NT language that us Aspies don't get.

I cant begin to guess as to why people don't like you OP without more information.
