If there was an aspie king or queen

What do you think would happen?

Would Aspergers suddenly be socially acceptable because a figure of great importance (well people do get very excited about meeting the queen) had it? Or would the king or queen have a short lived, scandalous reign and be hounded by the press and fall out of favour with the general public?

I imagine it would be similar to what happened with King George VI of England during his reign from 1936 to 1952. He had a pronounced stutter, and people, especially his family, thought him weak and unfit to rule because of it. He wound up seeing England and her provinces through WWII with a number of quite famous speeches, which were made all the more impressive due to the nature of his disability. His eldest daughter Elizabeth is England's current queen.

I imagine an aspie ruler would be treated rather similarly, but I would hope that they would prevail and demonstrate their success, thus making their, and by extension our, mark on history.

I don't know, these days things are more acceptable in the UK. I mean, what if Prince George was gay? Or what if Princess Charlotte wanted to be a boy really badly? Or what if their third baby has Down's Syndrome?

It depends on the individual Aspie.....
