This is today's news from BBC. There is apparently a test that can detect Down's Syndrome in the womb. This testing will begin this year in England. Will there be, then, an option to decide on an abortion? http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-42754307 "The Church of England fears new pre-natal tests could lead to a rise in abortions of babies with Down's." The General Synod will debate this when it meets next month. With the new testing, is there the possibility it will be also detecting ASD? Now or later? Could those also lead to a choice of abortion? Will this be the next to be debated by the General Synod?

I thought most Down’s fetusus were aborted because of genetic testing.

I'm against abortion of any kind. The abortion of a disabled baby doesn't make it any less of a murder than the abortion of a normal baby. Abortion is murder, any way you look at it.

umm is this really news?
I doubt it, they offered my mum a downs syndrome test, around 40 years ago. But since mum wasn't going to abort if I was, they chose not to do the test.
