We also come across as thinking we are superior since brexit.

I wonder how else we can isolate ourselves from Europe?

Wakefield is really nice though? I doubt anyone will say or do anything there. It's mostly just old people and families.

Sainsburys also tends to be full of posh people because it's expensive. If anything they would just help you.

Don't forget to put back your clocks, UK people! I was expecting it to be in a week's time (ie 31 Oct), but in fact that would be next month, as the change occurs at 02.00 am (ie it would be on 1 Nov). So it's tonight, ie tomorrow!!

hah, been wasting some time but its only 8 in the morning now

I seem to be sleeping better since the time change.

Shorter days seem to suit - I have had more energy lately.

I've got the feeling that in years to come, the UK's pandemic response will be viewed as our version of the Petrobras scandal that implicated half the Brazilian Parliament. Similar whiff of corruption, cronyism and money-laundering taken to ridiculous extremes.

I dread to think what will be written about these times.

However, we still have plenty of wonderful people in the world to put things back in place and to heal us.

No. If anything he has somehow managed to become even worse at his job.

As said in another thread, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if we had a new PM by next summer. By many accounts, the 1922 Committee are less than impressed with him, unsurprisingly.
