I was just wondering if anyone else here enjoys doing calligraphy. For those of you who don't know, calligraphy is the art of fancy writing (basically). It takes both practice and dedication to the little intricate details of the letters to master.

If anyone has done calligraphy, which alphabet sets have you learned? I've learned simple roman, bookhand, traditional blackletter and spanish round gothic. I'm trying to learn an italic, but it's difficult.

I love Caligraphy. I use to do Heraldic art
with B1's to B?'s tips. My favorite dip inks
Calli inks for thickness, and a (forgot name)
english brand bought at art stores for the
gold/bronze and silver crown affects. I think
it started with "Newton & ?" for the english
brand of ink.

I used Shaeffer tips Fine, Medium and Bold
for general drawing enhancements or on the
fly rough drawings depending on the nature
project I was doing.

I did Scottish medievel b-side coin art, Heraldic
language de-coding, and later combined them
in a tarot deck idea!

Calligraphy's helped me with my handwriting and drawing so much! The teacher who teaches the class I took has some asperger's tendancies.

Hey, Ghosthunter, I noticed that in your little information-thingie, it said that you're in San Francisco. There's a good calligraphy store in Santa Cruz, but I can't remember where it is or the name. If I can find it, I'll post it.
