Hi all.... welcome to the new Autism Southeast United magazine, which will be debuting the latest at the 2nd Annual Southeast Adult Autism Symposium in July. This is an offshoot of Aspergers United magazine in the UK by the National Autistic Society. The focus of ASU is adults and young adults on the autism spectrum ages 16+ (autistic adults/young adults) who live in the Southeast USA. ASU is produced by an autistic adult (Scott) for autistic adults and young adults primarily.
Each issue will be approximately 20 pages each and have both an online subscription and a paid printed edition for those who do not want to subscribe online. Each issue will have penpal ads, personal accounts of young adults/adults with autism/Aspergers, penpal pages, letters to the editor, and poems, artwork, and short stories.
Please share this information with those around you who would benefit from having a magazine like this. A request for penpal ads, personal accounts, letters to the editor, poems, artwork, and stories will be made in early April for those who would like to be considered for submission in the first-ever issue of Autism Southeast United.
