Amazingly, this isn't new. They used phages in the Soviet Union, and they've been used for centuries in India. There's a river in India that is thought of as 'holy' because it cures infections. Scientists investigated it and found it to be full of phages.
Peptide phosphorodiamidate morpholino oligomers are another solution to antibiotic restistance.
