I Am Ashamed of My Username Now

Using rationality and reason, I have come to abandon my Christian beliefs. (This actually happened almost a year ago; I just now came back to WrongPlanet after accidentally coming across it.) In the process, I have felt extremely alone in my 99% Christian community here in the countryside of New York.

What do I do?

About which thing?

Changing your username?

Or, about being alone in your Christian community?

About the former you cant do squat. As I understand it you cant change your username on WP. Its chiseled in stone for all eternity.

With only 3 posts you could start fresh with another name.

Make a new account? 3 posts isn't exactly a glittering reputation and history that one would struggle to leave behind...

Echoing the other posts, you could just get another screen name, maybe write in the new signature that you used to have this one if you'd want people to remember that you were the same person?

If you're alone religiously in person, maybe you could at least find forums/sites/communities for other beliefs online.

You can be a "reformed believer" in anything; it doesn't have to be Christianity.
