I'm not really feeling ok right now. I just got back from the damn psych ward yesterday. I was doing so good for the past few months. Then a few days ago I just sorta lost control. I had 3 meltdowns in one day. I didn't sleep for the whole night and I wet the bed from stress. It was not ok. I feel terrible. I did get the help I needed though. I got better coping strategies and new resources. I also have to take ADHD medication now. Apparently untreated ADHD is a bad idea. It was causing me difficulties. I am also to take some kind of medication if I feel like I'm going out of control. I just feel bad. I caused a lot of stress for my parents. I also have to get help for some of my emotional issues. I cant always recognize and identify my emotions. I guess its good that I can get more help.

When you are in an upsetting situation, it might help to stop and ask yourself "What things can I control here?" The answer is almost always going to be, how you decide to respond to the situation. Do you want to lose control of yourself? Probably not. That will just stress you more and land you in the hospital. Even though you might not be able to make a situation go your way, you can still make decisions to avoid causing it to have outcomes you definitely don't want. If you prioritize control over yourself, you will have control over 100% of at least half of the situation. If you fly off the handle, you have zero control over the situation and end up in the hospital.

I'm glad you felt like you can "talk" to us.

That's very important.

Once you feel a little better, will you ask that girl out on a date?

High anxiety/stress/meltdowns can be caused by a sensitivity to salicylate acids from food. I’ve read that 70% of ppl on the spectrum are sensitive to them - I was very sensitive to them a few years back.

If so, it’s also an indicator of low magnesium & sulphur levels which can be balanced by putting Epsom salts on your skin. (Baths, foot soak, or just Epsom salts and water in your skin, or an Epsom salt lotion) We absorb the salts through our skin and then our bodies have the minerals they require to bond to the excess acids so we can urinate them out.

High salicylate acid levels are also responsible for bed wetting - another possible indicator. This is because our bodies are trying to get rid of the acids via urination. Another sign is excessive urination, which is defined as having to pee 8 or more times/day.

Most adhd meds are stimulants that leach even more magnesium and sulphur out of our bodies, which can compound the problem & make it much worse over time.

If I were you, I’d be soaking my feet in hot water saturated in Epsom salts, and maybe eating a pinch, too. Or at least mixing some Epsom salts and water in the palm of my hand and just putting it all over my shoulders/chest after a shower so it’s there to absorb through my skin.

None of this can harm anything & costs very little money and Might just help make you feel better.

I'm so sorry man, hope you feel better soon!

are you sure ADHD medication is not aggravating your mental health? I used to take it and then stopped when I realised it wasn't helping me. look into practicing self care and mindful techniques as replacement of medication if you can (but obvs your doctors are more qualified than me).
