Suicide methods that actually work
I’m wracking my brains for a guaranteed way to die. I don’t want to try anything in case it doesn’t work.
I though of sleeping pill overdose and a bath, but then I read you just wake yourself up!! !!
If only I was lucky enough to get a gun, it’s next to impossible here. I’m pretty jealous of Americans. Anyone who has a gun an moans about killing themselves is a liar. If you really wanted to do it, it’s a sure fire way to pop your clogs.
I’m thinking of travelling to America so I can get a gun and shoot myself in the head.
That's actually one of the riskiest ways of going about this, which I also don't recommend whatsoever. If you need more reasons to live, start with the laughably petty ones & work your way up. If I were feeling down in the UK I would beeline for a hash café with sclerotia truffles in Amsterdam.
Case in point I need to live AT LEAST until I can afford to get a Porsche muddy & rest assured I don't mean an old one.

I'm going to skip the details there. Suffice it to say that doesn't always work at all.
Compulsion isn't rational & ultimately we all know that. My solution to feeling exactly this way is shifting myself into a totally different mode of existence. Meditation is a matter of embodying any solution you need.

How does that make you want to live? Literally the only thing I enjoy is eating junk food.

Why do you want to kill yourself? I am not going to suggest a suicide method to someone...no way. But I have tried to kill myself before, so yeah what's bothering you? Also any of the methods I know of would be pretty unpleasant probably effective but still very unpleasant.

It helps me think of what I actually want to do, which is usually much simpler than my conscious mind would have me believe. If junk food isn't doing it I say get fancy. Eat serious food that's tastier & picks you up physically.

Well then, you have to decide on a desert you want each day...strive to make it till you eat that sweet treat each day. For me the only thing I cared about the first time I was suicidal was music specifically Pink Floyd. So something I did was I vowed suicide was off the plate until I bought all the Pink Floyd albums. It was silly but by the time I bought all the Pink Floyd albums I could find I had found other reasons to live and so it really just stalled things but it was enough to make me rethink it. Sometimes you just have to find something stupid to cling to for a little bit, until you can find more reason to live. It seriously sounds stupid I know, but it can help.

It’s not stupid. You have real experience with these issues. The problem is that all my life I have been looking for a reason to live or some sort of joy in life, and there has been nothing. Not for about 15 years. It gets worse as each year goes on. I want to make the most of my life but most of the time I can’t leave my bed. It would be fine If I was happy with my life. I’m not. It’s horrible.
If I can barely leave my bed, I’m not going to ever be someone worth knowing.
You sound so angry at yourself ?
Where has this come from all of a sudden, or has it been building up?
The antidote to this is compassion, self-compassion.
If you can find this then there will follow some relief.
Finding self-compassion is not easy but doable eventually.
Love yourself and hug the anger if this is what is fuelling your need to exit this marvellous place.
Knowing that this won't last forever can sometimes give us hope.
Remembering how we coped last time can give us that knowing.
I hope you get that anger out in a constructive way.

Why can't you leave your bed...I mean if its a terminal illness and you are completely bed ridden with terminal illness? For that reason I wold agree you should have the right to end your suffering. But if its just more mental stuff I have a hard time with that because it can improve. Mental health is not set in stone, I mean in the past I was much worse off than I am now mentally, but that didn't mean my life was at an end...I just had to choose another path and that path was not suicide.

Spilling your brains all over the place is very bad form. Do you want to be that inconsiderate to whoever has to clean up the mess you leave behind?
I entertained suicidal thoughts many times back at my parents' home. I stopped considering it when I decided I need to do my best to pay back my horrifyingly enormous debt to society (and especially to my parents, but due to our bittersweet relationship, it's going to be hard to give them anything back without ruining my own chances to make any progress in life to do anything worthwhile, as they tend to seize every chance to take all freedom from me, at least in a practical sense) or die trying. Since then, dying gratuitously is chickening out and unacceptable to me. I also decided to do anything in my power to have children, and this goal will compete with paying back my debt to society, but committing suicide, for now, would betray it, too.
I think you've said you own your home and have worked very hard from an early age for all you have. Don't you owe anything to anyone? If you don't, I can see why you may feel no qualms about suicide. Another thing that has made it even more unacceptable to me is that I don't want to leave my body and my stuff in a rented room for the homeowner to deal with.
I wish I could cheer you up somehow. The idea of shooting yourself in the head reminds me of this story:
"Be Careful Whose Messes you Clean Up". I guess I rubbed you up the wrong way in at least a thread or two, but I've thought you'd be interesting to meet since I saw your website, a few years ago.

To be honest, I don’t actually care. They get paid to do it.
Silence me then. Delete the thread.
Right.
Despite all that effort, I still can’t feel safe in my own home. Someone tried to break down my door hurling abuse down the corridor at 4am on a Tuesday morning. Being terrified of drunk aggressive animals who steal and hurt people has since made my life hell.
I can’t make it in an NT world full of couples. It’s too hard. My parents can sell this horrible place and do what they want with the money.

I think a lot of people here can relate to a lot of the difficulties you have experienced and problems you face, and it's very understandable that those issues are so upsetting. They are real struggles. However even if you don't feel you are someone worth knowing, at least by your standards, I think to those here who know you, you have been someone worth knowing.
It's important for one to feel safe in one's own home. Would it be an option to sell the house and move to a safer area? Or rent the house out and move to a safer area?
