Hi People

I was going through a difficult time last year and it sort of all coincided with some posts I made on wrongplanet. In August 2 I went to hospital because I was getting bad pain in my stomach and I went there and they eventually scanned me and said they couldn't find nothing, they sent me home. On August 3 in the morning I got up from bed and collapsed downstairs, my mother phoned an ambulance and they arrived quickly. The ambulance official or paramedic said I had sepsis and they took me to hospital. In hospital I had a cardiac arrest and died for 10 minutes but they managed to get me back. They scanned the body with a CCT scan (?) and found I had a perforated ulcer in my duodenal and needed to be operated on straight away. The cardiac arrest was due to my organs shutting down from septic shock, other than that my heart is healthy.

I spent a month in hospital and all was well. I do have a stricture in my gullet and haven't had a meal since August of last year. I've been eating soup. Hoping to have the stricture dilation on the 15th of August so I can eat a meal, although haven't complained.

It just shows you how dangerous alcohol is when combined with anti-psychotics, causes stress and anxiety. The doctors said the ulcer might of been caused by the h pylori that everybody has. They didn't find the definite cause, maybe stress. I haven't drank any alcohol or smoked cigarettes for a year. I thank dearly Brighton Country Sussex hospital for saving my life.

Peace out

Jalw

Thanks for the kind words.

The downside is I have to be on a medication called Lansoprazole for the rest of my life. I was in ICU for 2 weeks, I collapsed going down stairs and woke up 2 weeks later in hospital. That med above is anti-acid medication, the stomach was making lots of acid and it was going up into my oesophagus and caused a narrowing there.

Also a lack of any spiritual experience with the cardiac arrest :( (Think the human brain has to clinically die for that to happen), I remain agnostic.
