As a private school, they can pretty much implement whatever policies they please, no matter how stupid or boneheaded they may be.

But a school like this one, which is experiencing long-term enrollment decline (419 kids in 2004 v. 302 kids in 2016 and on the verge of descending into the 200s, with a 52 kid decline in just the last two years alone - indicative of a failed school administration) isn't in much of a position to engage in foolish and dictatorial policies. The family has every right to publicly call them out for what was done to their daughter and I'm guessing that isn't going to increase their future enrollment figures.

Historical enrollment information for Christ The King Elementary School

Quote:
Enrollment figures

2004 419
2006 414
2008 357
2010 378
2012 341
2014 354
2016 302

I don't understand what the issue is with hair extensions. If someone has long hair why should it matter if it's natural or not?

I have straight long hair and it's acceptable anywhere but it seems that black people in this country are harassed over their hair no matter what they do. I think that is quite unfair.

I think that there are more important issues for schools to worry about than hair extensions.

what a provincial educational philosophy.
