In Theaters October 4th, 2019!

Am I the only one who thinks this Joker origin movie could be rated R and a live-action version of The Killing Joke?

They would be stupid not to make it The Killing Joke.

...but I guess DC doesn't have a great track record for making good decisions regarding their films... :|

I thought using The Killing Joke as the basis of the Phoenix movie was their intention.

I might in the minority on this one, but IMHO, Phoenix would have made a better Joker than
Jared Leto for Suicide Squad.

That's a good possibility.

I LOVE the Killing Joke graphic novel, but I'm hoping they do something different...something original...for this movie. We already got an animated adaptation which was good aside from the Batgirl prologue. Killing Joke can't take up an entire movie anyway. Dark Knight clearly drew inspiration from Killing Joke, but was still an original story.

DC has been trying way too hard to be different and the same as Marvel, given that DC's only good live-action movies from its comic-book movie world so far have been The Dark Knight Trilogy and Wonder Woman.
