If you want a sci-fi short story that touches on yin and yang, try reading this one!

What do you mean?

It obviously references Genesis in the Bible, but I don't see how it has anything to do with Taoism, or Yin and Yang.

"God" and "science" are both just other words for reality. People who see a difference understand neither.

Horseballs.

Why?

I'm going to create my own God out of the popsickle sticks from the leftover popsickles I eat when I want to drown my sorrows in chocolate fudge goodness.

Ok. Hadnt quite thought of it that way before. But it would be: God creating man, then man creating a machine, and then the machine become so powerful that it reverses the decay of all of the rest of creation and becomes "god the creator" itself starting the cycle over again. Kind of a materialistic version of the Resurrection. I am pretty sure that Asimov had only western Biblical references in mind when he wrote it, but you could read eastern notions of cyclic creation and destruction into it as well. And both east and west were rooted in pagan traditions which had resurrected gods in their mythical systems.

In short, no. As much as people like to believe that we've created God in our image as opposed to Him having created us in His image, that didn't happen. God's always existed and always will exist.

They are opposites. Science is a method for modeling reality based on evidence, and religion is a declaration of the nature of reality based on zero evidence.
