Does alcohol really make problems like ‘anxiety’ worse in the long run?

Driniking is like a bandaid solution to anxiety.
It covers it up but will still be there when you sober up.

It means longterm. Like how it will affect your life in the longterm not just in the moment. It may help a little in the moment but if you keep turning to alcohol whenever you feel anxious obviously it's gonna have a negative outcome and affect your life and anxiety in a very bad way "in the long run".

But why does alcohol make anxiety worse?

Because you sober up the next day with the consequences of being drunk the day before!

Alcohol may loosen you up, but there is always the next day! Don't get caught in trap of using it as a crutch.
