Do you prefer to work out at home or do you have a gym membership and go to the gym? If the latter, how often do you visit the gym and how much do you work out there? I, for one, prefer to work out at home.

I have my own gym in my basement, a power-rack, cross cables, bench, and 100 lbs of weights and misc exercise stuff. I found that since I have a number of chronic illnesses that make my energy levels unpredictable, it is a lot easier for me to workout if I don't have to travel anywhere. I just workout whenever I feel well enough to. The only real drawback is I am limited by the height of the ceiling which makes it hard to do anything like overhead presses. The gym also has nicer equipment but at least I don't have to fight over the lone power rack with is usually occupied at the gym.

I get enough exercise maintaining a single family home by myself. This weekend I got on a ladder and cleaned the gutters. Also raked leaves for a couple of hours.

I prefer working out at the gym at my school. My house is too compact for gym equipment.

I work out at home or on the street as it were. I use to be a gym rat,, but no more. I try to get in 300 Squats, 200 push ups per day, Dumbbells, Kettle bells, and I just install a new pull up bar at home.

Home. I live in an area that is pretty safe, so I can walk a few miles if I need to.

I'm too poor for the gym and too poor for equipment at my house. My house is so small that I don't even have enough space to work out in. So I'm screwed.

If I had the space and the money I would workout at home

I decided to start doing exercises in the two seat sofa I have in front of the TV set. Something to do during commercials!

body weight exercises might be a good way for you to do something for free

I prefer working out at home. I have a treadmill and weight bench/set, that's all I need. Yes the gym has fancy machines but there's no place like home!
