Officially started the diagnosis process
Yesterday, I went to the doctors about the possibility of me having autism for the first time and have been referred to the adult autism team for an assessment!
I'm so so nervous but also kind of excited? Like if I am on the spectrum, I feel like it would really provide me with some closure and help me a lot. I've always felt like there's smth missing in my life and I feel like this could be the final puzzle piece! But also my anxiety is acting up over it just bc I'm not good with new experiences and people. I really don't know what to expect.
To anyone who's been diagnosed as an adult in the UK: what exactly happens when you're being assessed and stuff? I think it would really help me if I knew some of what to expect at least. Thanks to anyone that responds!
