Does your taste in movies change over time too?
Personally, the "what's old is new again" sentiment is of interest. For example, I'm once again seeing those movies I haven't seen since I was a kid i.e., the late 1960s through the 1970s movies. Some of these movies were of good quality. I also enjoy seeing the movies that were of marginal to okay qualities esp. if they were comedies.
I also enjoy seeing recent movies (recent meaning movies made within the past dozen years) that portrayed a time in past history e.g, 1950s to 1970s time frame is of interest. For example, I enjoyed the 2007 movie musical 'Across The Universe' - a movie that took place in the 1960s and contained Beatles songs remastered, and sung (very well) by other talented singers.
Most of all, seeing the styles, places, and people of the times resonates personally. After all, I lived in the Los Angeles Area, and hence recognize locations in which many movies were filmed. I also remember several tours I took through movie-location sites that also included the Universal Studios tours.
