Humanity has wiped out 60% of animal populations since 1970, report finds

I read recently that a Google related company invented a way to eradicate mosquitoes from the planet and was considering the idea of just taking it upon itself to do it.

It can not be denied that insects like butterflies, bees and moths have been decimated, collateral damage due to Monsanto insecticides, pesticides and GMO corn "round-up ready".

I know.

This is f****d.

I agree 100% with the environmental article that said the entire world needs to mobilize like the USA did to ramp up for WW2 - but not for war; to fight climate change. To clean things up, reforest, encourage insects, animals, fish, and their habitats to grow again.

I wish that applied to mosquitoes were I live. Last summer they were more prevalent than ever and didn't seem to care how much repellent I had slathered on me.
