It is funny how sometimes I stumble on a very old thread, and I see my posts back then.... on many occasions I don’t even agree with my old self’s post! What should I when that happens! argue with my old self?

^ There should be a function where you can click on any of you old posts and it adds a little bit of txt at the bottom of the post "This poster has indicated they no longer feels this way or their opinion has changed".

That's not bad for nearly a decade of posting

Sometimes I cringe at the stupid things I said in the past too.
I've only had one warning on a forum and it was on a gaming forum. Some places have warning levels and if the bar fills up, I assume that person is banned for life. I am sure they reset over time if you are not a constant rule breaker and don't have too many problems. Some users are so dysfunctional, they can't even get along with other users online so they constantly break rules. If you have been banned from every forum or website or online group you have been on, the problem might be you.

Don't the mods pm you to explain why you got the warning?
When you warn a user a PM is automatically sent explaining reasons , something like this
The following is a warning which has been issued to you by an administrator or moderator of this site.
Quote:
Stop being a dick Ferris or I'll ban your ass
Do mods actually talk that way? If one talked to me that way, I would wonder how bad the other mods are too and I would be jaded to go to them in the future for anything.

That was just an example of what I would send myself
I've been banned from nearly every forum I was a member of.

Not proud of every single thing I ever posted- most of them, but there is that tiny few. Someone necros and old thread in which everyone was misbehaving - like drunken cowboys in a classic Hollywood saloon fight - and I see how I was tossing over tables myself, and throwing punches, and missing the other persons face, and accidently hitting a third person who then joins the brawl. Or some other occasion in which I picked a fight with someone when I could just as easily bonded with the person over the same topic.

Why? Was it because of autism?

Why? Was it because of autism?
It was due to my personality , morals and saying what was on my mind. I do have a filter but sometimes it breaks If my autism shaped my personality & morals then I suppose it is but I knew the boundaries and the consequences of my actions but my moral code sometimes overrides this.

I used to get kicked out of geocities chatrooms on a regular basis.
That was before some of you's time.
I miss geocities.
Me too! Have never found a suitable replacement. Somehow getting "warned" on a fairly tolerant autism forum just doesn't have the same thrill as a sudden, unexpected boot from some thin-skinned mod at Geocities. Plus, you could have your own web site and it was all free. Oh, the "frontier" days of the web!
