How does the U.S. government fund a terrorist group, and consider them the enemy? That's a bit of a pencil scratcher, eh?

I happen to believe they funded ISIS out of naivete.....They didn't know the nature of the organization; they didn't do their homework.

You're laboring under the delusion that we the U.S has a moral compass when it comes to foreign policy. Were we naïve when we ousted a democratically elected leader in Iran and installed the Shah, a right wing dictator, in 1953? Were we naïve when we backed Osama Bin Laden's forces in Afghanistan in the late 70s? Are we naïve in arming Saudi Arabia as they commit genocide in Yemen?


Get real! We know exactly wat we're doing, and who we're funding.

I never said we were sweethearts......It's obvious we weren't.

But I believe this was the case with ISIS....we were looking for somebody who was anti-Bin Laden----we didn't care who they were.

Just like one of the reasons why Trump was elected was because he wasn't Hillary or a Clinton.

Well...we have the most powerful military and the most sophisticated intelligence community on the planet. We know what we're doing and who we're funding to meet our political agenda.

We still f****d up----no matter how you slice it.

I believe we have some moral degenerates in government. No doubt about that. But I also believe we have good people in government, too.

Just like the police: Moral degenerates.....and good people.

The "good people" in government don't have much say. The oligarchs get their way, because they have long ago taken control.

Yeah, I derailed this thread by bringing up some pertinent points about the hypocrisy of U.S policies. Fight terrorist groups here, fund them there. If I truly hated America, I would just sit back and watch the empire crumble -- while munching on popcorn.

I care enough about my country to point out the ugliness of what it's become. If you don't understand that, tough s**t!

The subject of this thread has clearly made threats against America.

I do not feel that making her happy is worth the risk of bringing her ‘home’.
