new here but I am terrible at intros

saying hello here because it is the correct place to say hello as a new person on this forum, but I am terrible at intros.

I'm female (but lately consider myself nonbinary/non-gender), in my 40s, graduate student, online ESL teacher, and self-diagnosed Aspie. also very quiet (I don't talk much, despite being an online ESL teacher). I am married and have a very understanding (immediate) family.

the name of this website ("wrong planet") is how I feel most of the time around people -- that I do not fit or belong in at all. but I make the best of it because -- what other choice do I have? the alternative is really not an option for me, so I do what I can and pursue my own interests.

I'm glad this website and forum exist, thanks for having me here.

Welcome, the wrong child. There is a song on the REM-Green album called "The Wrong Child". I identified with that song quite a bit then before I was ever diagnosed.
