This. I swear it should be illegal to chew gum in public!

I also can't stand the sound of people coughing and clearing their throats. Certain people make worse sounds than others. If it's super loud, long and drawn out, and all phlegmy, it's all I can do to not scream, throw something, or lash out. Hearing that sound is like feeling physical pain.

Crinkle -- like food packaging.

I go absolutely freaking berserk. I can't tolerate it at all.

There are many others, but crinkle is so intolerable I can't even begin to describe it.

I hate the sound of women filing their nails. It makes me feel like someone is rubbing my teeth on concrete.

Yes! It's almost my number one hate! People chewing, sneezing, throat clearing and coughing are close runners up, though.

I find men have louder and more irritating sneezes than women. Also what annoys me is when people do lots and lots of sneezes in a row, with like 5 seconds between each sneeze. I know someone who once done 52 sneezes in a row, no joke! When I have a sneezing fit, I never do any more than 3 sneezes, and I do suffer with hay fever and bad sinuses. It just drives me mad when people do more than 3 or 4 sneezes. I thought the whole point of a sneeze was to get the irritation in your nose out, so up to 3 sneezes should get rid of it if it's a general tickle, unless you're severely allergic to your environment. But this person who done 52 sneezes wasn't having allergies, she just sneezes loads of times once she gets started. I find it hard to ignore.

I forgot vacuum cleaners. Vacuum cleaners are the worst.
