So I just recently had an uncle die of a heart attack, and my mother (their sister) passed away from a heart attack years ago... Now another uncle just went to the ER for a heart attack... And it's THAT uncle too, the scamming one that gives me all the grief but he's still my uncle...

Some of their siblings had heart attacks too but lived, my family has bad hearts in general...

Sorry to hear this. Knowing you have a strong family history of heart disease gives you a warning, though, so you can take some action in advance.

Update, wasn't a heart attack... He has a stent near his heart clogged up... They are going to fix that today with new stent.

Ha ha ha. You told us about him not wanting to get his blocked stent repaired because it would cut down on his summer activities.... which was stupid both because it could kill him, and because these heart procedures nowadays are so routine, they really have a fairly minor course (as long as you do take care of them!).

Anyway glad he survived, but hope you still keep your distance. :)

That clinic is famous. Your uncle will get great treatment there.

Yes, heart disease is serious stuff. The outlook with surgery, medication, and rehabilitation is excellent, but it's up to the uncle to take charge of his life.

Best wishes.
