Due Date is when the bill is due
Net Closing Date is when the next statement period starts which is usually shortly after the due date
Pending means the charge or payment you made is not fully processed which usually takes a day or couple of days

Scammers can get debit card info most of the same ways they get credit card info & people need a credit or debit card to order things online & to shop at certain physical stores. Some physical stores won't accept cash due to concerns over the virus & that people will rob/steal the cash. One major advantage with using credit cards instead of debit cards is that the credit cards usually offer fraud liability protection. Banks are less likely to offer that for checking accounts. That said it's a lot easier to get in debt using credit cards. I got in trouble with credit cards a few years ago. I had some expenses increase & I couldn't afford to pay the interest on my credit cards on top of my other expenses. I kept using the credit cards to cover my monthly expenses & I paid whatever I could afford every month to the cards. The interest compounds every month & my balance got higher & higher until the cards were maxed out. Then I couldn't afford to keep paying the minimum payments on top of my other expenses since I could no longer put the other expenses on my cards. We were moving around that time too so I really couldn't afford the minimum payments. I just paid a small amount I could afford every month & after not paying the minimum payments for 6 months, my accounts were completely closed & went to debt collection. The debt collection thing is very recent. I did some research & the last two payments from Social Security can not be garnished for credit card debt & my only income is Social Security Disability(well my parents give me a little money occasionally but I can just cash their checks). When I 1st got the debt I was thinking I would get a part-time job but we were wanting to move & it took us a couple years before we got approved & accepted for our new place. Plus my girlfriend's mental & physical health got worse around then & that was a major reason why we needed to move. Around the time we were getting settled in, the COVID19 virus happened. I had been mostly responsible with credit cards for a long time but I guess I started slipping up a little after I moved out of my parents & moved in with my girlfriend 7 & a half years ago. I have no excuse thou & I do want to take responsibility & pay the debt off but I need more money to do it.
