I'm thinking of giving temporary custody of my son to my brother and sister-in-law while I go find a place. Any thoughts? I'm going to Juvenile Court to ask about it. Anyone done this before and got his/her children back?
I think I've found someone to do legal guardianship. My brother and his wife wanted open adoption. I'm not willing to give him up. If I did, not to my family.

You can give someone temporary guardianship of your kid Im pretty sure. My bothers friend stayed with us for a summer once and my mother was technically his legal guardian while he was here. Some sort of paperwork Im not really sure.

Since, I was going to give him to someone else, my brother petitioned for temporary custody. It was what I asked them to do in the first place. Now I have a chance at getting him back instead of adoption. They did it because they didn't want me to give him to another person out of the family. If I get the 4 things I need, home, job, mental health help, and stability for a bit then I will get him back.

I do so hope and pray that everything is sorted for you and your son, and that you will both share a blessed future together with no worries and healings etc. I pray for everything you need.
