I hope its not my kidneys. Feels like its in that area. The pain was mild for a few days then all of a sudden got worse. I do bend down low to plug in my phone or pick up some boxes of small photo albums that are on the very bottom shelf. So maybe I pulled a muscle. The pain has been great when I go to get up or lift something. But not everytime I lift something which is wierd. The pain goes away when I lay down. The pain started when I started taking cold medication. Benylin night. I can see it being kidney failure if I overdosed. But I only took a few so far. Wondering if I should go tomthe hospital or not.

For your sake, I hope you don't have a kidney stone.

Do you have any pain that goes down one or both legs?
Do you feel any numbness or tingling down either of your legs?
Is the pain on one side of your back or both sides?
Is the pain in the middle back or the lower back?
Has this ever happened before?

Yeah it could be a muscle spasm but seeing as how it started after you took some medication and you've had it for a few days it may be kidney related. Are you near an urgent care facility that you can go to? It's probably best to get checked out just to be sure.

Do you have insurance that will cover it? Because in some states if your medical issue turns out to NOT be considered an emergency you could end up with the bill.

Although if you're not in the US this would not apply to you.

Either way I would say yes, you should probably speak to a doctor. It may be nothing, but probably best to get it checked out.

Never went to the hospital. The pain is completely gone now. Not sure if I should take that cold medication again incase thats whats doing it. Might have to try something different.
