Do any of you engage in any creative forms of expression as a means to express emotions or experiences that you have trouble articulating in therapy?

There’s stuff that I need to get out but don’t feel comfortable discussing with a therapist even though I like her and we have a good connection.

This is an obvious answer which you may have tried, but I like journaling to get things out. When I need to I will just journal my feelings, or do a combination of writing and drawing. I may journal feelings as prose or poetry, depending on the nature of my moods. It's helpful to have a private arena to let out any dark or troubling thought, because then you can view them from a distance and they are less overpowering.

Writing esp. fiction, mechanical projects.

I used to enjoy sports like clay-pigeon shooting but that's more destructive than creative.

Photography is nice but film isn't cheap.

Restoring stuff kind of helps. It's not "creative" but it's better than destroying things.
