For anyone who's interested, especially if you're a railroad crossing enthusiast and cartoon enthusiast, both of which I am, there's a list of cartoons/animated shows and movies that have featured railroad crossings. You can find them in the following link:

https://peridot0.fandom.com/wiki/Railro ... and_Movies

Some of this was inspired by the TV Tropes website!

And not only is there a list of cartoon shows, some including episodes to make it easier to find the crossings, a list of animated movies and other programs, but there are also screenshots of the cartoon railroad crossings. You can see different kinds of railroad crossings and different styles that vary from cartoon to cartoon!

Many of the crossings are generic but some of them are almost realistic. Some depend on the time these cartoons were made, like the 1930s, 1940s, 1960s, 1990s, 2000s, etc and feature passive crossings, wigwags, flashing red light signals, crossing gates, etc. Some gates are red and white striped; black and white striped whether from the days of real black and white gates or more recent despite the use of real red and white gates; and some are black and yellow, or quite close to those three stripe colors. Some of the gates even have gate-arm lights on them like real gates do, but most of the gate lights don't work, they're just there for looks or to make the gates look more realistic!

Although there's lots of information, this page is still being worked on and it's a continuing mission to add to this page. New cartoons, episodes and movies are still being added or updated and more images of canon railroad crossings are wanted. So if you're interested and have a wiki account, you're welcome to add to the page, but please no spam, rude/inappropriate comments, or vandalism. And canon railroad crossings only, no fanon crossings or edited canon crossing pictures, they have to stay as they were shown.

I should tell you that adding images to this wiki is not very easy to do. To add images, add them to the images page first, and then on the topic page, use SOURCE EDITOR (found when you click Edit and find the three horizontal lines) and type in the file name. Don't forget to type in the file type like .png.

So if you want to know which cartoons feature railroad crossings, be them series episodes, movies, or other animated program/ video, and want to see what the crossings are like, there is now a place you can see them! You may not see the railroad crossing you're looking for immediately although you know one, but keep checking back, it might just appear later!

So if you're interested, please go check it out! And you may help contribute to it, some help is appreciated! Just don't vandalize the page please.

Enjoy!

I've never really noticed such things. And I probably wouldn't have cared if I had noticed. But then again I'm not a train lover. I would notice or care if I saw a cartoon dog eating real chocolate, raisins or grapes than whatever's up with a railroad.

Oh, and I've also noticed and wondered why the the gates to heaven in cartoons are called The Pearly Gates when they are gold in color. If they're called the Pearly Gates, shouldn't they be a pearly white color? :)
