Marxist doctrine strongly emphasizes "the masses." Individuals are seen as merely being drones in a sea of "mass currents."

I think Im more a neutralist. But that could potentially be dangerous during times of war.

I see Political Correctness as a lobotomy-type device meant to quash individualism.

There are liberals who aren’t stupid enough to ride the PC gravy train.

For me, politics is simple, I ask myself, who wants to let me keep more of my money?

I reject the idea that some anonymous government worker is better at spending my money than me.

TRUMP is exciting because he's talking about more tax cuts.

In that case, your idea of politics is corruption. Responsible governance has nothing to do with your bottom line. You are asking for bribes.

You are free to be more interested in getting rich than other people, but the entire reason for political thought is those other people.

She's other people too. Someone who works hard to make a living. She is just asking for less of her own money to be taken away from her. That's hardly asking for a bribe.

Cutting government services to the bone? creating two Americas where the privileged can pay for their gated communities and armed guards and services are completely privatised to a user pay system.

Welcome the GOP dream, a dystopian future (actually predicted in science fiction) where the GOP descendants live in high tech metropolis which they completely self-fund and the vast majority of Americans live in a wild-west environment where Darwinian principles apply (survival of the fittest) like many third world countries today.

The poor join the army or police to escape poverty and enforce power of an authoritarian GOP government which live in the aforementioned metropolis which is protected by a giant wall call the "Trump wall".

This is the road Trump is taking America and it will create a neo-authoritarianism that many other leaders seem to be imitating around the world.

That's not what she said...she wants to support anyone who lets her keep more of her money

At least she's honest

I said she is just asking for less of her own money to be taken away from her, so there was no contraction in my reply. Obviously she's going to support whoever facilitates that best.

It's not entirely her money if she's just voting to dodge taxes, taxes represent an allocation, not theft. Without paying taxes, there's less substance behind the U.S. Dollar anyway, the federal reserve created it after all.

When has it been any different? People who do well are rewarded and those who do poorly aren't. The way things are structured is that if you make an effort and keep your nose clean, you will reap the rewards of that. No one gave anything to LNH, she earned it by putting in effort and hard work.

Taxes are too high and a lot of the money does not go to the kinds of things you want it to go to. The government needs to be more responsible with the money it allocates, instead of asking for more from hard working citizens on an increasing basis.

Americans need to forget their unhealthy obsession with financial gains & take a vacation.

I work hard too & I'm sick of my taxes not fixing potholes. I'm giving the government money to continue killing anyone it wants to. That said, my taxes directly support the intrinsic value of the currency I paid in.

The biggest thing I see wrong with your comment is the dystopian part. Why? There was nothing about making only $5,000, the year I began college that made me want to give up. I don't understand that. Being poor motivated me to never want to be poor again. So, I worked. And I stayed relatively poor (compared to your GOP analogy) for many years, although I was better off than before college. And my kids watched me work and now they work hard, even my son with Autism. He is a car detailer, he doesn't make much, but he works hard and lives on his own. And he loves his life!

What manner of creature do you speak of that just sits down and gives up because they're poor? This is not the cloth I was cut from, I don't ever want to be like that.

I think you need to ask yourself what sort of message your government has been pumping into your people, if they all just sit down and give up.

Taxes are always a negative, because you can't get something for nothing.

I didn't function well most my life, not until age 38ish when I could hold down a job.

I am almost 50 and still live with my mom.

All my life, I wished I could be smart and successful like other people.

I don't feel bad about wanting to keep my money.

Have you ever stopped and thought about whether the trajectory your life took and the steps you took have anything to do with small government? you seem to link GOP fantasies about no taxes and small government with your struggles and I honestly don't see a connection?

Human beings need self-motivation to feel they are part of a bigger social movement where they feel they can contribute, one of the aspects that attracted me to marxist philosophy as a teenager was the idea that you could cognitively transcend the idea of parochialism based on class, race or creed and think of humanity as one social movement. The rise of this movement was timed to coincide with the historic rise in class and racial equality.

The spirit of socialism has never faded despite attempts by conservative/capitalist right to equate social/civil rights with authoritarian communism (something your leaders successfully managed to hoodwink the American public in the 1950s...the US population are a little brainwashed so take a bit longer than everyone else).

More importantly this global social movement is what will help the autistic community and their families. The time when stigma and ignorance over mental illness will start to vanish.
