So my husband came home yesterday... And it turns out he's pretty much helpless now. His right arm is so bad, he can't dress himself, pull down his britches to go bathroom, since he is right handed he's having difficulty feeding himself and he keeps dropping things, and he can't walk unassisted, he needs a gait belt and walker, or he might fall.

I couldn't sleep well last night and he expects me to cook Thanksgiving sometime today...

I couldn't even play bingo last night with my friends, and I have appointments next week and I don't know how I'm supposed to go with him needing so much help....

Aparantly he begged to come home before the holiday. But imo he wasn't even close to ready.

I am feeling depressed,if he's going to need this level of care for now on I can't take it! And I'm not trying to be cruel but idk what to do.

What do you think your husband would do if you openly announced that you can't care fow hom like that and prepare any Thanksgiving meal?
It's just reality.

I wish your husband could be much more reasonable.

I’d be going stir-crazy if I had a spouse like that.

There exists caregiver relief . Organisations . And support networks ...find several .. use thrm liberally
