Some of the greatest hard rock bands of the 60s and 70s were Canadian.

The Guess Who was great in those days.

Neil Young is Canadian.

I’ve seen people online say Rush is the best Canadian band.

Dave Brockie who performed as Oderus Urungus of Gwar was born in Canada but lived in the US for the rest of his life. He talked about moving back there but he succumbed to an accidental heroin overdose.

Nivek Ogre of Skinny Puppy and ohGr is Canadian but lives in America unless that information is dated now.

Ugh. Not the radio stations around here. Only redneck music.

And the CBC only seems to play popular indie music or classical music most of the time. At least they play chill pop at 12 am. But I don’t listen to music that late.

I assume you know Frontline Assembly; they're from BC too. Rhys Fulber shows up on other bands work too, like Fear Factory and Nailbomb.

Rush are good, but I'm willing to bet if you polled Canadians The Tragically Hip would end up ranked the 'best Canadian band'.
