It is in my opinion a pretty good sci fi show, I don't even know how to really describe it for anyone who hasn't seen it, but I will try to describe a bit. you have humans on mars and earth that are a bit at odds and the belters who are people who have always lived in space and never on the planets so they have their own culture and way they talk and they have had some physical changes from earth going humans due to living in space at all times so they can have a lot of trouble being on planets because their bodies aren't adapted to it. And they face discrimination from both earth people and mars people then there is a whole complication with a thing they call the proto-molecule that is just messing everything up for everyone...belters, earthers and people living on mars so they kind of have no choice but to attempt uniting but much political drama goes on, wrong choices are made bad stuff happens and well I will have to see what happens next when they release another season next year.

I could be more descriptive of what goes on in the show, but I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it and wants to, so that was the best more vague description I could come up with.

Good description, better than I could have come up with. 8)

I've mostly watched The Expanse in passing, it's my flatmate who avidly watches it. I find it pretty rough and serious, but interesting. I feel for the belters who are trying to get used to gravity.

The political parts I don't understand but I know I would if I paid attention and watched it properly.

My flatmate is currently watching season 4.

I love this show and didn't realize that Season 4 has dropped.

TBH I thought the 1st season was best in the way they portrayed life in the Belt.

It looks like it's going in a whole new direction since the Season 3 finale. No real surprise there. I haven't read any of the books and wonder whether everything so far has followed them. Usually I read books first, but got hooked on the TV show before I was even much aware of the books.

I've started watching it but am only five episodes in. So far I really like it - it sort of has a Babylon 5-esque feel to me that I like - there's even a "Mr. Garibaldi" character, while being a bit more gritty.
