Donald Trump is a miserable fit for Evangelical Christians

What would Jesus do?  First, Jesus would not use Twitter to serve up daily doses of crude comments and hate-filled attacks on private citizens and public figures.

On any given day, Donald Trump attacks, vilifies, ridicules, mocks, taunts or lampoons any person (dead or alive) or any ethnic, racial or social group.

Whatever Trump’s reasons (political expediency, bias, an above-the-law attitude, an out-of-control ego or simple bullying), Trump does not embody the teachings of Jesus Christ or, for that matter, any spiritual deity known to humankind.  Trump is driven by a life of exorbitant privilege, an attitude of revenge-and-vanquish, and a drive to amass wealth by any means possible.

As someone born and reared in an Evangelical Christian household, where the teachings of Jesus centered on love, reconciliation, and compassion, I reject the ill will and multiple layers of prejudice and divisiveness Donald Trump has wrought.  What would Jesus do?  First, Jesus would not use Twitter to serve up daily doses of crude comments and hate-filled attacks on private citizens and public figures.

History will point to the shameful moral stain of Evangelical Christian leaders and of congregations who succumbed to Trump’s shrewd hypocrisy.  They will be depicted as having compromised their spiritual path, moral compass and prophetic voices to a charlatan.  Let’s pray and work to change this reality, and to transform the nation into one of just, humane and equitable democratic principles and values.

This is what Jesus would do.

I think it's still hypocritical that they would slam Christians who support Trump for alleged intolerance when they aren't really tolerant or compassionate either. These people are nothing more than fascists disguised as supposed tolerant or nice.

Choir for Midnight Mass With me actually as the Elder Then has Morphed into Age 60 and Above; as well
as Most of the Other Congregation Members; Youth is almost Invisible and there are Zero Young Adults
in the Choir Now; Not even likely Much younger than 50 if one or two that Young; the Violinist and
Choir Director.

Looking Around at 'the Crowd'; Gray Hair as Far as one will see; at Least for anyone paying attention?

Thing is; Things are; Who Will be Left 30 Years from now (the Violinist And Choir Director);

Trump is a Major Nail in the Crucifixion of Jesus That Is Starting to Hang by a Thread Now.

Younger People are Totally Disgusted these Days over the Hypocrisies 'Christianity' Brings Overall;
Not only that; but of course the Opiate of the Masses now may be measured in a 6-inch small Box
and Brightly-lit Screen.

Jesus and Sadly the Teachings of the Beatitudes Have Been Crucified even More By Trump and
His 5th Avenue Shooting Minion Support to date; True; one would have 'Reasoned' at least; That People would have seen
the Need Not to continue to Float Christianity; the Titanic of the Biggest Traditional Religion into an Additional Iceberg of Trump; Of course, covering up the Sexual Abuse of Children wasn't a good Look Either by the Catholic Church; 39
Percent are on the Border of Leaving Now; 70 Percent no longer Believe that the Eucharist is the Actual Body of Christ.

True; We Have Other Good News Now;

i See the Value of the Human Condition of Holding Hands; True though, Theatrical Prophecies are also
Fulfilled too. Machines; Plugged In; And Avatars Come to Be; 'The Teens'; the Decade Where All Three
Theatrical Prophecies Are Fulfilled.

The 'Good News' Now is Baby Yoda is Risen Again; True, 'The Force Now' Will Additionally Fit in a 6-inch Screen;
of Course with the Appropriate Streaming Service to Receive the Continuing 'Religion' of the Disney Corporation now.

i doubt 'Baby Yoda' is Afraid to Wear Pink; or any other color for that Matter; Perhaps Finally 'A Jesus' for everyone in deed Love.

The 'Really Good News' is We can't Kill 'God' anymore than A Green Puppet That Feels and Senses the Force Still Everywhere Now Love; God is Becoming More Diverse in Communications as God Always Is; Perhaps there will be a few Left in Church in 30 Years; more than Likely Yoda will never die; or perhaps never even Grow up again Past the Eyes of a Child of Love.

At Least in its Current Form the Tradition of Christianity inside of Four Walls of A Church Is Dying off.

A Most Foolish Thing Possible was the all-in of the Pulpit to Get Trump Elected and Keep him in Office Still Now.

True; the Tide May Be Turning against Trump a bit Among A Few Percentage Points of Evangelical Christians;
But This IceBerg and This Titanic are Already Crashed now; it's Just a Matter of How many Folks are Saved on
Life Rafts for Real; The Ship is truly sinking; but rarely do i see here; anyone even Gasping for Breath; the ones
that are Left Will Be Dead Soon Enough Still Looking for their Reward; mostly Missing Heaven on Earth Within.

Hopefully, Baby Yoda Will Grow up More into a Mature Faith And Religion of Love For Everyone in Peace And Harmony.

i for one will surely assist my small part in that Dance and Song For Real; Love is the Glue of Life; anything else less is

I vote for rulers to rule. I go to church if I want to hear about God. I don't look for my government for spiritual guidance. The executioner executes, the preacher offers last rights.

It's sad that people are willing to support a leader who is willing to buy his way into heaven as long as he supports the party agenda. I imagine a twisted sermon about being allowed to bribe St. Peter with gold so long as you hate what god hates and love what god loves and your sins are forgiven just like that. They might as well be selling space in heaven like timeshare condominiums.
