Does anybody else have ambivalence like this? Like I wanna go to the store to get a big tub of ice cream since my current tub is running low. I can almost taste the vanilla ice cream! Oh, it’s so good! But I’m comfortable here right now, and going to get it would entail calling the bus, going to the store, standing in line, and calling the bus to go back home. Plus, I need to cut down on dairy and sugar. How about that oatmeal, some of which I have left? Ok. (Later) ooh, ice cream feels so good right now, but should I really spend my money on it? I need to make sure to save you know. And on and on.

This just keeps going back and forth in my mind, and it’s kinda irritating.

Yeah I go through that a lot but in my case it is usually caused by the side effects of being mentally ill. However sometimes I'm just tired. In my case it's probably good because if I fed myself based on every whim I'd be far from healthy haha.

It’s New Year’s Eve.

Why not treat yourself?

Try to distract yourself with something you're interested in, nothing else will work. I've dwelled on things for hours stuck between doing it and convincing myself not to do it. And then thinking days later whether I made the right choice or not. I guess it's more indecisiveness for me than ambivalence.

Indecisive

Nothing seems to matter
