I have it so bad as a result of my Sensory Processing Disorder, in a way that many mistake for Misophonia or an unpleasant form of Synesthesia.

So bad it has rendered me disabled. There are frequencies of sound, that I do not hear normally.
A click of a pen for an example, is magnified to an extreme loudness, with my detection of location of the sound overlapping my entire existence instead of the pen.
An electric shock sensation rattles my body as my mind turns to static/fog from my brain having rapid nerve misfiring.

Because of this I couldn't complete school, or college. Because of no college my only job options are in extremely noisy places like grocery stores, thus I cannot work.
And because of this I had to break up from my poly relationship and move back in with my parents, because of the sound of kissing of all things, drove me insane.

My life has been one of struggling to find a way to both isolate myself to protect my senses, and still have community and resources at my call. Really difficult to pull off on a less than minimum wage SS income.

But anyway, I theorize the reason my mind goes to static/fog from this is because of being overwhelmed by it,
sure maybe I'm being optimistic that there's a therapeutic fix to this, but hey, it's worth a shot,
I'm up for suggestions on coping. And if you know any medicines, that'd be great too.

Along my journey of discovering how to treat & control my autism, I found that my hypersensitivity to sound virtually disappeared within a week of detoxing salicylate acids via topical use of magnesium sulphate crystals. (Epsom salts)

Once my body had the minerals required to excrete the excess food acids via urination, audio sensitivity returned to a normal range in about 5 days.
