I noticed today on being told I was making a someone confusing noise that sounded like a kettle that through my day I make a lot of weird noises. Some are used to express emotion (most of them are) and some are stims, such as a noise that sounds a bit like a bird that I can be found making randomly at any given time. It seems that these noises are not common (by that I mean the ones used to express how I am feeling as a knee jerk reaction) as people tend to find them funny, make weird faces or ask me why or how I am making whatever noise that I am at that given moment.

Do you guys also make weird noises and what reasons do you have behind doing so?

I sometimes make weird noises simply because I enjoy making noises. Occasionally I might be bored or want to annoy somebody. I also like to show off the noises I make. Regardless of the specific reason, my noises are always for some kind of entertainment purpose.

It is ( I think ) a sort of echolalia of ambient noise, not words. This is super embarrassing but after watching someone start a 1931 Ford I found myself making the same noises as I left for home (unfortunately, not in a Model A. I don't have a cool car yet.) The funny thing is I have even seen people who imitate birds, all kinds of stuff.

I can usually stay quiet except in private, but I make various groans and squeaks to punctuate the processing of strong emotions.

Never ran into that issue myself.

I only make these involuntary weird sounds/noises/sentence fragments/swear words when I’m thinking about some embarassing social thing that I’ve done. My boyfriend and I both work from home so he’s the one that hears me and he used to question me when it happened. I just told him I’d prefer if he would just ignore it because I don’t want to dwell on these embarassing thoughts. He told me our cat also notices when I make these noises

Interesting, I might turn mine into a joke to protect myself but I don't really do them for entertainment on purpose haha.
