So if you were invited to eat a dinner with your political leader (ie trump, betrix.) Would you accept and go? Would you enjoy yourself?

Yep, especially if it involved a good restaurant.

I would think of juicy questions to ask ahead of time. Then I’d try to get some money for the interview from a media outlet.

M'eh. I could take it or leave it regardless of the leader. Same with any celebrities, sports figures, Nobel Prize winners, etc, titans of industry or commerce, etc. I don't really look up to famous people. So many have proven the fallible nature of humanity.

I would like to dine with someone like Temple Grandin, Tony Attwood or John Elder Robison. Sharing a meal or conversation with Alex would be a memorable experience as well, I'm sure.

In the case of Trump, it would probably be catered Big Macs.

If I met them in my area on a casual and friendly bases I would certainly sit down and enjoy a meal with my countries leaders and enjoy some interesting conversations. I may come across as judgemental, but I do realize and appreciate that they have a difficult job to do and I never see the full picture.
As long as they are willing to be casual and relaxed (I don't do airs and graces) and we can chat away we will get on fine. (Regardless of any differences of oppinion, I do respect differences even if I may not agree with them).

I used to enjoy working on the railway as I met all sorts of people from all over the world. Out of all the people I met during my time, apart from drunk abusive people... I would say that the worst I met was a Welsh Nationalist who was purpousfully trying to hate everyone who was not like he was. He had a serious hate issue in his heart and he was the main reason in Wales why many refuse to take up Welsh as a language. If he could look at himself and the damage he has done he would cry. People think they are doing the right thing when spurred up with national pride, when all they are doing is causing mysery and destruction.

I once met a strong looking guy in his early 30's or thereabouts who was speaking lowely of his wealthy employer. I told him to step back. If you really think you can do a better job then your employer, get a bank loan and set up a business doing the same thing. If you do not, then start to appreciate the years hard work put in and risks taken by your employer to get to the position he has obtained. The guy became quiet as he had not thought about it. He had just seen the results of his employers success.

It would probably never happen.

But it would be nice to get a closer view of the man I don't want as President. To see him actually in action. To have some idea of how he "ticks."

It would certainly be a pain in the butt---what with all those Secret Service people and all that.

I would only meet one to one as I can't trust security people.

I have nothing against Big Macs, especially free ones. They just need to be hot.

Still, it’d be nice to go somewhere fancy, like Long John Silvers, since he is the President and it would be a special occasion and all.

Yeah, somewhere classy like that. Maybe we could sneak in some wine coolers in paper bags, too.

I thought the thread asked "would you eat your political leader?" 8O

As for the actual question, probably not. I only like to eat with people I already know and like.

I doubt anyone would be particularly candid in such a situation, especially a politician :P
