how do you post still pics on this site?

I used to be able to post still pics on to threads.

But now I can only post videos. You would think that a moving picture film with sound would be hard than a single still pic, but no. Aparently you need to download some special software to post still pics you find on the web.

I thought you could still just click the insert image button, and then add the link in the box it gives you. Does that not work now?

I'm assuming there's more than one way to do it, but going to postimage.org does it for me. You drag and drop your photo there and then it creates a url or whatever it's called and then you post paste that into the image thingy.

nothing has changed i think, i use imgur myself to upload new images.

I couldn't figure out how to upload a link or a photo if my life depended on it,I have no clue,I am not a computer person.

I'm surprised I managed to get the knack of it. Although it took a long time to click.

I try to "copy" the picture (either off the web, or from my desktop), and then to "paste" it into that box. But when you click "paste" at that box on that picture thing nothing ever happens.

The picture. Just trying to get the picture onto a post the way you can with a video.

Whatever that is it does not show up as a picture on my computer. Its just a line of text that includes word like "url" and "image".

Youtube is a video hosting site that allows you to copy URLs.

Most people don't provide URLs of pictures for you to copy. But, browsers do allow you to save pictures to your computer.

Some sites will host photos; you can upload the photo from your computer to the web site. But not this site.

most of the time when you right-click an image it will give you the option to "copy image address". or you can copy the URL if you open the image by itself in a new tab.

it is this address which you must post here within the [img][/img ] brackets, quote my earlier post with the image to see how i did it.
