Stay safe Kitty. It's close to home here too. I hate living like this but I try to get more careful as the virus spreads .

It came to my town first out of the entire nation.

I'm not scared, even though I am one of the few at risk, just cautious.

Actually, no one knows how many ‘have’ this wretched disease; some have been found to ‘have’ it, while in recovery, having thought they had a mild cold or flu.
Some get very ill very fast, and are diagnosed in an E.R.
Some have been exposed, and are incubating the disease., so have no symptoms yet.
Remember Typhoid Mary?
No one knows if Corona, like typhoid, may have asymptomatic carriers.

If I could contract it without going critical, I would rather get it and be done with it.

Dear Ezra S,
Please do not wish that;
It appears that surviving this disease does not confer/develop immunity.
We are being told that a number of people have recovered completely, then caught it a second time, due to contact contagion.
I do not want anyone on WP to contract this.
Actually, I want it OVER.

It is said that it confers immunity for 1-3 years for most people—but there are still unknowns.

People who have recovered will be asked to donate their plasma for treatment for serious cases of COVID-19.

It has been approved as a treatment for serious cases of COVID-19.

even if you can catch it a second time, it'd likely be a milder experience than the first time because your body would have at least developed partial immunity

What's weird is I came down with something around Jan 3rd that had all the coronavirus symptoms. It was a very mysterious illness. Sudden fever, tiredness, aches, then lungs and coughing. But I was not sick enough to raise any alarms. The fever only got to about 101. But I felt like my immune system was fighting hard to get rid of some nasty bug. The fever broke after a couple of days, but I felt tired for about a week.

Its good your immune system has proven itself to be working well and healthy.
