Wrath of Khan is definitely better than the first movie, but I still love them both.

And I'd also say that the second James Bond fim (From Russia with Love) is loads better than the first (Dr. No).

On the Star Wars front, "Attack of the Clones" is also an improvement on "Phantom Menace." Not enough of an improvement for many people, but I kinda like it. Just don't mention sand.

I like the 2nd Avengers film, "Age of Ultron," better than the first. I may be alone in that.

Re-watched Hellboy II recently, and it's a lot better than I remembered. Not sure why it's so often considered a weaker sequel. It has some great comedy, character development and creature design. The CGI work on the Golden Army itself may have annoyed people back then, though now it just looks of its time.

To all those saying Captain America Winter Soldier is better than Captain America First Avenger,

Winter Soldier has better action sequences, I admit, but I still like First Avenger better for the WWII setting, Peggy Carter, and Red Skull.
