On Christmas Day 2008, my youngest sister got new sandals and I decided to tickle her sandal under the pretense of feeling the texture of her sandal, in order to pretend to tickle her foot. I had hoped she'd catch on and pretend to laugh.
She looked down with a blank facial expression, then made a moderate grin when I tickled her sandal even faster. Then she stomped on my hand.
I thought that event was so funny that I even made a song about it.
When we reminisced about that day years later, she told me "it was because you were being such an idiot!" That statement inspired the title & lyrics for the song.
