Have any of you ever bought Ice Cream that was so hard that you couldn't scoop it with a heated scoop?

I bought some Ice Cream at a grocery store and it's too hard to scoop with a hot scoop. It takes me so long to create an Ice Cream Cone as it would to eat it with the stuff that I bought :x

working in a grocrey store I can tell you that all the freezer cases are cranked way up to keep absent minded customers somewhat at bay after they spend 2hrs shopping and then complain to the cashier about their once cold ice cream thats now dripping all over the place. It would seem logical to me to make your trip through frozen and dairy last, but I've seen many people going through the grocrey isles with frozen items in their carts.

BTW, the vents in frozen cases put out some pretty cold air. I took an infared temp gun to one once.. -50F

BRRRRRRRR... That's cold.

I can relate to that. Last night, it took, like, 10 minutes for me to scoop out my usual three scoops of ice cream. :x :x :x
