I think she may have been written as to appear as an AS person. She's very believable all right,in contrast to the seemingly-superhuman people that often surrounded her:a real,troubled,fallible person who has failings and insecurities. But she sometimes was extraordinarily tactless and could be very rude,especially to Edgar Stiles,among others.
But this was balanced by good Aspie traits:the desire to do the right thing,her loyalty towards her colleagues-especially Jack-and her great focus .It was great when she broke out and showed that she could kick ass like the rest of them,and I was so pleased when she finally-albeit temporarily-became head of CTU.
