It says "may irritate eyes" on a can of pepper spray.

It may? I'd say it will irritate the eyes.

I wonder if guns have tags which say "may cause serious injury or death if used as intended"? 8O

To steal a joke from Dylan Moran, regarding peanut bags that "may contain peanuts":

"There is doubt?

I was going to keep the bag but I didn't. Two funny bags of peanuts which the translation was lost or it was officialdom gone wrong.

One said "Directions: Open packet. Eat nut".

The other said "Caution. This product may contain traces of nut".

I was going to keep them but I thought I would better not. Years ago my Mum had to get rid of my carrier bag collection as it was getting a bit beyond. :D

Think yourself lucky. If you were living in the EU it would be so watered down it would be called "Essence of pepper spray".

(I say that out of humour due to the EU being overprotective of its people. Better then underprotective).

I suppose that what they MEAN is that "this product, that is MEANT to f**k up the eyes of a bad guy attacking you, may ALSO irritate the eyes of you...the person using it on attackers(maybe the wind will blow some of it in your direction)... do don't be surprised...and don't sue us if it does".

But they have to capsulize the message. And the shorten version sounds ret*d.

"Instructions unclear, mazed self. Manufacturer to blame."
