He finally tells us an actual non-lie for the first time ever. That the Covid crises "will get worse before it gets better". Too little and too late for it give him any credibility, but enough for me to applaud him for taking that one baby-step in the right direction. Of course thats what some committee scripted for him to say. But still.

But then he says things like that thing in the original post in the same press conference that takes away from even that baby step in the right direction.

Maybe she has something on him, so he feels that he has to be nice to her.

two projected outcomes- she will clam up and survive, or she will try to speak but be censored or the information will never see the light of day. if she no longer lives after a point, the PTB have really consolidated their overwhelming power and are now brazen.

Why wouldn't Trump offer support for his friend and fellow child sex predator?

Maxwell may have a problem,in 2016 she admitted under oath in a deposition with her attorney's that she help Epstein with many things when she was in charge of management of the Epstein household.

Yeah, one could easily read between the lines on that statement, like the mafia saying 'I have an offer you can't refuse!' "I wish her well" (it would be a SHAME if something were to happen to you).

I suspect Trump fears she has something on him, and so is trying to come across as a friend.

Scaramucci says that "wishing her well," was trump code for "Keep your mouth shut." I guess as in "If you talk you won't be well."
