Clothes in UK seem designed for twiglets. Any that cater for well built (not fat) frame?

In the USA, we have big and tall sizes, and in many clothing stores there is a big and tall section. Do they not have this in the UK? This allows for tall sizes (longer and for bigger builds) and also sizes that exceed your standard 2XL.

I'm not especially fat or tall, but the size shirt that fits me most comfortably is XL Tall, due to my build. XL will be much too short on me and barely come down past my torso, and 2XL is either baggy or it can also be too short. It didn't occur to me go to for the "tall" size for quite some time, since I'm just under 5'11...but it has bigger dimensions to cover my build. I realized a lot of shirts I had that are XL or 2XL just don't quite fit due to the height of my frame. My traps, shoulders, etc for instance are big and much higher up than the average person of my height...so I have the frame of a much taller person. Hence big and tall sizes.

Of course it depends on the clothing brand, etc. Sizes vary by at least one size (S-M-L-XL-2XL) across brands, and even if you order the same size and same exact shirt, it'll be cut a bit differently and can feel tight versus loose depending on the individual one.

Here in America there are more size ranges to choose from, but not every place carries every range. You have to look for places that carry your size range. I am short, but over weight, so I need clothes that are in the Petite Plus size range. The exact size within the range can vary from one company to another, or from one style to another. Because of my weight problem, I bulge too much, so I need longer tops. Basically, I look for tunic length tops, and that works for me. Because I am short, average length slacks are much too long for me. Sometimes even the petite length ones are a little too long too, as I don't wear high heel shoes or boots at all. I absolutely loathe high heels, so that's not on the menu for me. Unfortunately, slacks and trousers are usually designed for women wearing high heels. I have ugly legs, so I only wear Capri length slacks around my home.

Just remember, to find what you want in clothes, you will have to hunt for it.
